Who we are
Adrian Simpson, known as ‘Ade’, is a former British Paratrooper and seasoned professional in soft commodity trading and international risk management. Two years ago, he transitioned from his corporate career to focus on humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. He founded Mission Aid for Ukraine, a volunteer-driven initiative dedicated to delivering essential aid, including vehicles and medical kits, directly to frontline medics and military brigades.
Operating from his base in Kingsbridge, Devon, Ade has led multiple missions into Ukraine, often accompanied by his three sons and a dedicated team of volunteers and working in partnership with Mission Ukraine. These missions have involved long drives from the UK to Ukraine, delivering converted vehicles and critical supplies to directly to medics in Brigades on the front lines. Notable missions include handing over a four-wheel-drive vehicles converted into a frontline ambulances to brigades on the eastern and northern fronts. The team also delivered individual trauma kits and other life-saving equipment to support Ukrainian forces.
Ade has been featured in various media outlets, including BBC Radio, Daily Telegram's ‘Ukraine: The Latest’ podcast and ‘Kyiv Post’, where he discussed the challenges and experiences of delivering aid to the eastern front in Ukraine.
